A favourite among locals, the Church of St-Peter's-by-the-sea at Old Harry was built in 1916 using wood from one of the many unfortunate schooners that wrecked on the treacherous shoals around the island. Its door is dedicated to a resident of Old Harry who lost his life in the unpredictable waters of the Bassin Est Beach.
